Nepal Parliament passes the New map

On Saturday, Nepal's parliament passed the constitutional amendment bill changing the map of his country.

The New map of Nepal is a controversial one because in this map Nepal claims three Indian territories Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh. India rejects Nepal claim and said "unjustified cartographic assertion".

The Constitutional bill passed by a two-thirds majority of Nepal's Parliament house of representatives on changing the map of the country.

After a four hours long discussion in Nepal Parliament house of representatives that preceded the vote, and several lawmakers asked what the next steps to reclaim control of  Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh from India.





Why Nepal change its foreign policy?

Recently one month ago, China saves Nepal communist party government. China protect Nepal communist party to led government in Kathmandu admit rifts within top leadership of the rulling dispensation. Nepal has highest forgein direct investment from China.

Recent, Nepal has openly said Hong Kong belongs to China and support the law that introduced in Hong Kong.


India Nepal relations have on constant downward spiral since Chinese ambassador to Nepal helped saved the Oli Government. Nepal PM constantly kept saying that most coronavirus cases are coming from India. And even went on to say that Indian virus is more dangerous than Chinese virus.

On Wednesday the Nepal government formed a nine members team of experts to collect historical facts and evidence related to the area.


After the bill passed from parliament, will be sent to National assembly where it will undergo similar process. The ruling party have two-thirds majority in National assembly. After the bill passes from National assembly it will be submitted to President for authentication, then it will be part of Nepal constitution.
