US Representative tables Bill to recognize Tibet's independent Country from China

Scott Perry

A Bill to recognize Tibet as an independent country introduced in US house by Congressman Scott Perry.

US representatives Scott Perry tabled two bills in the United States Congress to allow the President of the US to recognize Tibet and Hong Kong as an Independent country.
Both Tibet and Hong Kong are under China's control at present. The bill comes because of tension between India and China on the Ladakh-Tibet border. During the Pandemic, China follows aggressively policy on its borders.

The reason behind China's aggressive policy is Xi Jinping wants to improve her image internally in China and trying to divert the attention away from the Coronavirus disaster. By increasing the military near the border China is sending a clear signal to India regarding the Hong Kong issues. China does not want India to raise Hong Kong issues globally like Quad members.

The US put pressure on China by bill on Tibet and Hong Kong. But first of all both bills will have to pass from the House and Senate before it goes to the President to be signed.
